Since the extension SCA of the PSD2 legislation, credit card payments are only accepted if they are processed with the additional 3D Secure technology. According to Otto, there was a problem with the previous payment partner concerning SCA: "We worked with a different Payment Service Provider for a while, but we noticed that problems arose due to poor communication and payment security issues. Credit card payments in particular caused us considerable headaches: fraudulent payments easily passed through the 3D Secure system. Since we have started working with PAY. we no longer have these concerns: PAY. puts secure online payments above everything else."
