What types of cards can I accept with my smartphone?

With Pay's mobile card reader, you can accept a wide range of payment methods, including debit cards, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), contactless payments (NFC), and mobile wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. This gives your customers the flexibility to pay in the way that works best for them.

Yes, it is very safe to accept payments via your smartphone. Our mobile card readers use the latest encryption and security technologies to ensure that every transaction is processed securely. This protects both your data and your customers’ data from fraud and theft.

What are the minimum requirements for using SoftPOS?

  • Android 11 (API 29) and later.
  • Supports app installation from Google Play.
  • Supports Google Play Services.
  • The device must be able to receive security updates and have a recent security patch (Samsung devices: no older than 6 months; other devices: no older than 3 months).
  • Supports hardware-based key attestation.
  • Supports NFC.
  • Supports a light sensor.
  • The device must not be rooted.
  • The device must pass the Android compatibility test.
  • The device’s bootloader must be locked.
  • The app must not be built in a way that allows native libraries to be extracted from APKs during installation.
  • No hooking framework (e.g., Frida, Xposed) may be installed on the device or bundled with the app.

On which devices does SoftPOS work?

If you have an Android device, you'll need at least version 11; in addition, your Android device must not have jailbreak software installed or be in debug mode. This also applies to other handheld devices, such as those from Zebra, Sunmi, or other manufacturers.
