About the role

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our team in Enschede!

As a Software Test Engineer at Pay, you are responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our payment software. You play a key role in designing, executing, and refining our testing strategies. Working closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders, you’ll detect and resolve issues early in the development lifecycle. Thanks to your efforts, we deliver stable, secure, and high-performing solutions to thousands of customers.

In our product-driven organization, you’re involved in the entire development process—from test planning and execution to regression and automation. You’ll actively contribute to optimizing our QA processes and bring technical depth to the team.

Responsibilities

  • bullet-primary Define and execute test plans for our payment applications (web, API, and backend);
  • bullet-primary Develop and maintain automated test cases;
  • bullet-primary Identify, document, and follow up on bugs;
  • bullet-primary Collaborate with developers to effectively reproduce and resolve issues;
  • bullet-primary Verify fixes and run thorough regression tests;
  • bullet-primary Continuously improve test processes, tools, and QA methodologies;
  • bullet-primary Experience with FreeBSD is a plus.

The value you bring

  • bullet-primary Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Tester or QA Engineer;
  • bullet-primary Experience with tools like Selenium, Postman, and/or JMeter;
  • bullet-primary Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD environments;
  • bullet-primary Understanding of Agile methodologies and sprint-based workflows;
  • bullet-primary You are detail-oriented, communicative, and quality-focused;
  • bullet-primary You have a proactive, hands-on attitude.
