Payment by bank
Payment by means of banks; everyone knows it. Because this has existed for quite some time now and because it is highly secured, payment by bank gives the consumer a feeling of safety. This makes your customers feel secure and could make your products and services more accessible.
Online transfers
An online transfer can best be compared with payment by means of payment slips. As in this case, the customer also receives a payment reference and transfers the indebted sum in order to receive products or services. The difference is that for online transfers we collect the money first, then we notify you that we have received it. After a few workdays, we can transfer the money to your account.
Direct debit transfers
Many companies use direct debits. It has been around since 1960 and in 2006 alone; about 1140 million transfers have taken place. If end users choose to pay by direct debit, they have to give a written permission for the transfer. For online payments, however, this might pose a problem. Therefore, banks have introduced a policy of tolerance. This has only increased the ease with which a consumer can obtain products and services.
Credit cards
Visa Card and MasterCard; we are sure that they are known all around the world. More than 6 million Dutch people already own a credit card. The cards do have a negative image attached to them, but are still used extensively. One consumer might use them to pay anonymously; another person might have insufficient funds.
Interbank systems
Every Dutch person is familiar with iDEAL: transferring an amount of money in a secured environment through a Dutch bank of your choice. This is a highly secured system: founded by five Dutch banks; with a 100% payment guarantee. In other European countries, interbank systems exist as well. Therefore, we offer for example MisterCash for Belgium and Fasterpay for Great Britain.
Direct E-banking
Direct E-banking is also a kind of interbank system. However, it is not founded by banks, but by a commercial organization. They have designed this payment service in such a way that you can reach consumers in the Netherlands, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Along with France, who will join soon! Even though this is a new payment service, it is highly customer-friendly and safe. An extra safety measure is the fact that direct E-banking is inspected by an external organization every month. This organization checks whether all payments are still completely anonymous.
